What are the outlet requirements in residential type occupancies?
In each room and foyer of a residential type building other than in the laundry, bathroom, and unfinished portion of the cellar, basement or attic, at least one receptacle outlet shall be provided for every fifteen linear feet or major fraction thereof, of the total gross distance around the room as measured horizontally along the wall line except that an opening six feet or more in width with no provisions for doors therein may be excluded from this requirement.

Is a light fixture with open lamps permitted to be installed in a linen/clothes closet?
(1330- 123.01) 27-3137 (a) Yes under the present Code, if all the provisions regarding clearances etc are met.
May a switch be installed inside a closet?
Lamp holding devices located in linen and clothes closets shall be intalled on the ceiling or on the wall above the door, not less than eighteen inches from stored combustible material, and shall be controlled by either a door switch or a wall switch located outside the closet.
